Our Wolverhampton Centre are caring for a young puppy who was found dumped by railway lines with no food, water, or shelter during lockdown last week.
The puppy, who was found by a member of the public and brought into our care, is now receiving the care and attention that he needs from our team.
Centre Manager Karen Doy explains “It is always heartbreaking for our team to see any dog who has been abandoned but when it is a young puppy who cannot fend for himself it hurts that little bit more. We are unsure how long he was out wandering but he is now safe and receiving all the treatment he requires.
“Whilst we might be closed to the public we are still here for dogs like this abandoned puppy who need our help. He will not be ready for rehoming for quite some time but I am sure he will have lots of interest. He does have a few health issues which he is already receiving treatment for and thanks to our supporters we can give him and lots of other dogs all the attention they deserve.
“Dogs are a huge part of families lives and whilst we don’t know why this puppy was abandoned we are here to help people who are unable to care for their dogs, please contact us directly if you feel you need to give up your dog”
